Going Green for St. Patrick’s Day!

March 16, 2022 | Newsletters

You can expect plenty of folks to be wearing green tomorrow in celebration of the one and only St. Patrick’s Day. But this year, we got to thinking …what if instead of just wearing green, we cooked green too?

Rather than relying on food colorings or other artificial greens, we go green in the kitchen by adding some healthy and delicious Olivia’s products to our St. Patrick’s Day dishes. We scoured the Olivia’s Organics recipe archive for some of our favorite green dishes. They’re the perfect way to infuse a little nutrition into your St. Patty’s Day celebrations this year. Check ‘em out!

Shamrock Pancakes:
Start off St. Patrick’s Day right with these tasty pancakes, which get a green boost from a healthy handful of spinach. As the recipe says, real maple syrup and fresh fruit are the perfect toppings for this delicious breakfast.

Irish Soda Bread:
Here’s a great St. Patty’s Day baking project! This traditional Irish recipe goes green with the addition of – you guessed it – spinach! A bit of oatmeal on top gives this bread its iconic look and adds a little depth to the flavor.

Kale Hummus:
More bright green deliciousness, this time from a generous helping of Olivia’s Organics Baby Kale. With a food processor, this recipe is about as easy as it gets. Make a big batch that will last you long past St. Patrick’s Day!

Sweet Green Ice Cream:
This bright green ice cream is a healthy and delicious alternative to other St. Patrick’s Day frozen treats. Don’t skip the pistachios – they provide an essential crunch for this creamy dessert!

Voila! Four delicious entries for your lean, green, St. Patty’s Day cuisine! We hope you enjoy and have a great holiday.

Thanks for making Olivia’s part of your healthy, fresh life. Slán!
