Shake up cocktail hour! With a little advanced prep, this martini is quick to whip up at your next celebration.
Butternut Squash Vodka (make 1 week in advance)
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Place the butternut squash on a sheet pan, toss with olive oil, and roast for 20 minutes. Set aside to cool. Once cooled, add the butternut squash and vodka into a glass jar with a lid. Store in a cool, dark place for 5-7 days. Strain the vodka using cheesecloth. Store at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
Simple Syrup
Add the water and sugar to a sauce pan. Bring to a light boil and whisk until combined. Set aside to cool and chill in the refrigerator.
To make 2 Martini’s
Add plenty of ice to a large shaker. Add all of the martini ingredients except the sage and shake well for 30 to 45 seconds. Pour amongst 2 chilled martinis glasses and top with sage leaves.
Tips & Tricks: The strained infused vodka can be stored at room temperature or in refrigerator for up to 1 month. The simple syrup will keep for at least 1 month in the refrigerator. Cheers!
