The Thrill of the Grill

August 17, 2022 | Newsletters

We’re big fans of grilling around here. It’s a great way to cook without adding a lot of extra oil or fat, and it adds a delicious charred flavor to everything from burgers to broccoli. Best of all, grilling feels purpose-built for the summertime. It’s the perfect way to keep from heating up the kitchen while enjoying a little extra time outside (preferably with a refreshing drink nearby).

So as summer starts to wind down (say it isn’t so!), we’re devoting this newsletter to some of our favorite grilled recipes featuring Olivia’s Organics greens and goodies.

If you were looking for a sign to fire up that grill and host some friends or family this weekend, this is it!

Grilled Vegetable Salad:
You could get really creative coming up with ways to use up all that delicious, in-season zucchini and squash. Or you could just toss it on the grill and let the flames do the work. Throw in whatever veggies you have on hand and add a little spring mix, quinoa and feta for a top-notch side dish.

Grilled Chicken & Berry Salad:
This recipe includes directions to cook the chicken on the stovetop, but grilling will work just as well (remember: always cook to 165˚F). Insider tip: Grill a big batch of chicken breasts and use them in this recipe and for other dishes all week long!

Grilled Prosciutto & Arugula Pizza: If you haven’t grilled pizza at home yet, you’re missing out! The high heat you can achieve on a grill is perfect for a pie you’ll swear is from your local shop. Fancy toppings take this ‘za to a whole other level.

Ta da! Three exception-grill recipes perfect for the last few months of outdoor dining this year.
