If you’ve been reading this newsletter for a while, you know the only thing we love more than fresh, healthy, delicious food is giving back to the community. As we enter this holiday season, we’re excited for the upcoming celebrations with family and friends, the giving and sharing, and of course the fabulous food that will be lovingly prepared and served. This is also the time of year when we’re more aware than ever of the hardships faced by so many.
In this season of giving, and with the increased demand for food assistance, we’re feeling extra grateful for the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB).
In October, the GBFB and its Women Fighting Hunger Committee hosted the 11th annual Women Fighting Hunger Breakfast. As staunch supporters and fans, Olivia’s Organics was thrilled to attend.
The event honored Joanna Travis, a longtime member of the GBFB Board and a close friend of Olivia’s Organics. Joanna’s contributions throughout the COVID-19 pandemic were impactful and inspiring, ensuring access to healthy and nourishing food for those who needed it most during an incredibly challenging time.
The commitment and vision of individuals like Joanna embody the GBFB team, from its leaders to its roster of dedicated supporters and advocates. Because of that shared conviction, they’re making meaningful progress in their mission to end hunger across Eastern Massachusetts. It was an inspiring morning for sure!
We hope you’ll take a minute to learn more about the Greater Boston Food Bank and the extraordinary work they do. Check out their website today – that’s gbfb.org!
Thanks for making Olivia’s part of your fresh, healthy life. Have a happy week!
