Melt butter in a large sauté pan.
Add onion and cook for approximately 5 minutes. Add garlic and stir for 1 minute more.
Stir in flour and stir to mix well for another minute. Slowly add the milk while stirring until it begins to thicken and form a sauce. Add seasonings, cream cheese and Parmesan cheese and stir well to combine.
Add spinach and continue stirring until spinach is wilted and cooked to desired tenderness.
