The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and among the largest food banks in the country. Last year, we distributed 98.8 million pounds of nutritious food to people who struggle to have enough to eat. We are committed to increasing our food distribution to provide three meals a day to every person in need in Eastern Massachusetts while supporting healthy lives and healthy communities.
Since 1991, the Kids Clothes Club has been providing new, warm winter coats to children in need. In their first year, they helped thirty children stay warm through the cold New England winter. Today, thanks to the generosity of donors, they distribute thousands of coats each year. The Kids Clothes Club works through schools, day care centers, shelters, and community agencies to identify children in need and deliver new winter coats that are stylish, warm, and guaranteed to bring a smile to a child’s face.
